Seeking full-time ELearning Development Specialist

Executive Administration, Inc. (EAI) has an immediate opening for an E-Learning Development Specialist for the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI). ACAAI is expanding their educational programming and implementing a new learning management system (LMS). This position will play a key role in launching the LMS and building educational content.

The American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI) is a professional association of 6,000 allergist/immunologists and allied health professionals. Established in 1942, the College is dedicated to improving the quality of patient care in allergy and immunology through research, advocacy and professional and public education.

ACAAI is managed by Executive Administration Inc. (EAI). Located in Arlington Heights, IL, EAI is a full service firm, providing management and headquarters services to national and international medical organizations.

The E-Learning Development Specialist role involves:
Designing, developing and delivering continuing medical education
Using rapid development techniques, you will partner with subject matter experts (primarily physicians) to create high quality, interactive learning content.
Managing the Learning Management System (LMS).
Working with our vendor partners and internal staff, you be responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the LMS (Ethos).
Implementing courses, materials and examinations
Maintaining course records and examination results.
Providing customer support for the LMS and training staff to provide customer support for the LMS. 
Mentoring subject matter experts and staff, strengthening their ability to design and/or develop e-learning courses.

Job Responsibilities:

Produce high quality course materials using multimedia development tools (Captivate, Articulate, PowerPoint)
Perform needs assessment, lesson analysis, develop objectives, write storyboards, prepare scripts/record audio, and compile appropriate lessons into online learning.
Design appropriate interactivity for lessons.
Conduct evaluation and analysis.
Measure participant achievement, collect learner feedback, and track metrics
Work closely with subject matter experts to deliver proper content.
Demonstrate creativity, flexibility, and innovation in course design.
Publish courses to Learning Management System.
Perform administrative functions related to the Learning Management System.
Perform maintenance of course modules to ensure relevance.
Maintain an ongoing understanding of ACAAI’s systems.
Identify and implement e-learning design standards, templates, processes and best practices.
Coordinate the design, preparation, and execution of all aspects of virtual meeting event (via GotoWebinar, Adobe Connect, or similar platform) and the its archived formats.
Conduct continual improvement of tools, features and functions, platform training and maintenance

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in instructional design, instructional technology or a related field strongly preferred
Three to five years of experience designing and developing creative and innovative on-demand, interactive e-learning courses and examinations.
Three to five years using Learning Management System (LMS) to offer e-learning courses and related proficiency examinations and to manage all related assessment, record keeping, and reporting
Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines with limited direct supervision
Excellent writing, and problem solving skills
Strong visual design aesthetic
Knowledge of and ability to apply eLearning and instructional design best practices
Three to five years working with recognized e-learning course authoring software; preference for experience working with ARTICULATE Presenter or Storyline.
Three to five years procuring and editing images, film, audio recordings and other illustrative material; solid awareness of copyright laws and strict adherence to same
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Commitment to professionalism, accountability and teamwork
Desired Skills/Experience:

Previous experience working for a medical society
Knowledge of professional development in healthcare and developing learning programs for Continuing Medical Education (CME)
Knowledge of test item writing and case study construction
Knowledge of HTML5, graphic design, Photoshop, multimedia and screen capture
Knowledge of Ethos CE LMS
Knowledge of Drupal CMS
Experience in working with virtual events platforms (GotoWebinar, Adobe Connect) a plus
