Sharing Free Storyline Templates
Mar 02, 2018
When someone shares a free template here and doesn't indicate what version of SL the file they are providing is there anyway of finding out if it is a SL2 or SL360 file prior to downloading it?
Back when I was using Presenter Pro 09 and everyone else was starting to use Storyline I could tell since the file name was different. Now I can't tell until I download it, try to open it and then it tells me it was created in an earlier version so it won't open.
Thanks

Hi Melanie,
The files all have the same extension (.story) so unfortunately the only way to tell is by opening it up in Storyline, unless they explicitly state which version of Storyline they used to create it.
Some people say what version. I understand Melanies crushing sense of disappointment when you see something fabulous only for it to be storyline 3 or 360.
A bit like when you go shopping and see a lovely top only to realise it has a stupid elasticated waist or is backless. :-)
