show number of remaining questions
Jul 06, 2018
In Storyline 360, I have a question bank with 100 questions but during the course only 15 of them is selected randomly. The questions are freeform drag and drop questions where the learners automatically get feedback (correct or incorrect) when the item is dropped on the target and move to the next question by clicking 'continue' on the feedback. They do not have to use the submit button.
I'd like to show the learners how many questions they have (15) / how many they answered and how many left. Maybe just simply show the number 15 that counts down as they move forward. Is this possible?

Yes, you can create a variable and count down (to show the remaining) or default the value to 0 and increase every time when a user gets a question slide (to show answered count).
Could you help me what I have to do to make that work? I am not that pro with variables.
Here is a sample file attached. It contains 10 questions in the question bank. Only 5 questions are shown to the user.
Here is a tutorial on variables.
Hope this helps. Drop a comment if you need further clarification.
Thank you
Hi there Katalin!
I just posted a new free Storyline 360 download which is a question bank template and it actually includes the variable and reference text at the top of the slide that shows how many questions you are at/have left.
Here's the file for download! :)
Awesome, thank you so much!
