Storyline Question Bank

Nov 06, 2012

I hope someone out there can help me.

I am creating a quiz with 20 questions that are drawn randomly from a bank of 30. Within this bank there are 6 different types of questions.

The problem is that I need to give specific feedback dependant on their responses on a final results slide dependent on the answers they gave. So, if they had a question from the bank that was about car safety and got it wrong there will be no feedback at the time, they will just move on to the next question, but when it gets to the results slide at the end I would need to give them feedback to say they need to look at this topic again.. If however they answered a question correctly on car maintenance then i would not need to give them any feedback at all.

Because the questions are random, and I do not know which will be chosen, I am struggling to figure out how to do this. Ideally I think I need to have a variable on the slide that says that IF this slide is answered as part of the random choice then to change the variable for that topic. But I do not have a clue how to do this. Is there any way of tapping into the variable for the score and doing it there somewhere?

I look forward to picking your brains!

Thanks...

Tracey

Hi Tracey

the best way to do this is to split the questions into six groups and have six results slides (the user does not need to see these) the user still gets 20 questions but you know what they scored on each group, you can then create a combined feedback slide using the results variables for each results slide.
