The seekbar pauses only the base layer but not any other layers

Hi community,
I searched for nearly an hour, but didn't find any answer to my problem. So maybe my own discussion will fix this ;)
I show the seekbar in all of my slides, because the learner should always have the possibility to use it. BUT there is one problem: When I press pause, only the base layer timeline pauses, but NOT the other layers on the slide.
The only way it works fine is, when I create a button to pause the slide. Then the base layer and all other layers are pausing correctly. But that makes absolutely no sense for me.
So here is the question:
How can I pause and resume all layers on a slide at the same time, using the build in seekbar?
Thanks for your replies and greetings from munich/germany ...

Hi Rene
have you tried playing with the options on the layers. This KB article may help you
Hi Wendy,
thanks for your reply. Yes, I tried every possible option, but found no solution.
The way you are suggesting works fine, BUT in the wrong direction. This option makes it possible to pause everything beginning from a slide layer, but not from the baselayer. AND this option shows the seekbar for every slide layer. Thats not what I need.
To be more concrete ...
My slide has seven slide layers in total. I wanna see only the seekbar for the whole baselayer, who has the same running time as the seven layers together, not seven short seekbars for every layer. That works fine so far, BUT not for the pausing issue.
So what I need is the opposite of the option you suggested.
That would be the option "pause timeline of slide layer" on the base layer properties menue.

It's hard to say without seeing how your file is setup but is this what you mean?
Peek
yes, that's what I wanna see and that is working fine, but not if you wanna pause it.
Start the slide and press pause on the base layer seekbar before you are reaching layer 2. You'll see, that the base layer will pause, but the slide layers will be not impressed of that at all ;)
By the way ... I'm using Storyline 3
She had the same problem two years ago, but unfortunately without any useful answer: https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/pause-both-layer-and-base-layer-with-seekbar-pause
This?
Peek
I've the same problem.
Hi Sa. Sorry you're having the same trouble. Were you able to follow Wendy's instructions and/or watch her Peek video linked up above? If you have and you're still having trouble, please reach out to our support team so we can lend a hand.
Hi Wendy,
no, not really.
I don't wanna use any key, I want to use the seekbar with the pause function.
Put exit-animations on the slide layer objects, and you'll see my problem.
Beside that ... the whole seekbar is a mess when you use slide layers. So many problems (beside the pausing thing)
The problem is, that you can't manage the seekbar and the build in pause function with triggers.
Most people just hide the seekbar, but thats abslutely no option, cause the learners must have the chance to jump in the timeline and pause it at any time they want.
Greetings ... René
