Timer
Feb 27, 2014
Does anyone have suggestions or a work around to have an Articulate built course have a 2 hour timer?
We need our course to force users to have to spend 2 hours in a course and visit every page before they get their certificate.
So if they close the course after spending 35 minutes in it and then go back in it will know that they have spent 35 minutes in the course already.
What I have seen so far in my evaluation process is that any kind of time you apply to a page ,etc just resets when you go back in the course. Maybe I'm too new and am missing away to achieve this?

We lock the slides on the Articulate lessons so that someone taking our lessons has to go through them in order. Then, when they reach the last slide, it sends them to the URL of a hidden page in our LMS that unlocks the next piece of content. The LMS actually tracks how long they were in the course and shows what all they clicked on.
Sorry I don't have a better suggestion.
That sounds good but would we be able to lock a certain slide until the user has spent 2 hours in the course total time (which includes opening and closing the course in different sessions)? That is the big question.
Hi Brad,
Not sure if it's much an answer, but a similar discussion going on over in this thread.
Hope this helps,
Bob
Thanks Bob. It looks like some good stuff on that thread. I'll try out that storyline file.
