Translation to Chines

Hello Terry， I'm from China and my experience is that you could find some professional translation agencies (such as arvato) to do the localization job. You can either choose to translate the storyboards or do the modification within the storyline files. Prices are various regarding different workload.

Yes of course. There’re hundreds of training consulting companies in China can do this job.

Could I not manually add in the translation myself?

Do you mean you translate the course content and replace them by yourself? Surely you can do that, but you may need to know these:

1. To display any Asian language properly, you need to install the language pack to your Windows, as well as different font packs.

2. Reset your computer default display language to Chinese, and download official Chinese Version SL2. (Do not use English version SL2 to develop Chinese courses, you'll see tons of layout/font/character display issues afterwards)

Although you can do these job by yourself, I do recommend outsource it to another professional translation team. They use different methods to guarantee both quality and artistic language.

You don't need to change the version of Storyline or change display to chinese to translate Storyline into chinese, you do need to install the required fonts

Thank you so very much everyone. We have 40 courses that require translation, with an average of 1500 words per course. I've learned $0.20 per word is a good rate. $12K is definitely not a huge investment to break into such a big market.
