We need to use cookies that bookend the course content in order for students to stop the eLearning and when resuming it they can get back to where they left off.
I assume you are using Storyline. When using published content without a LMS, Storyline will set a cookie for you. Also, in the Palyer properties, you can select options how a course should resume (or not). See here for info. If you arer using an LMS, the bookmarking and resuming will be handled by the LMS.
The lms in use is not a true content mgt system. It is really a training tracking and reporting tool. The courses created within it have a link to the eLearning. The eLearning files reside on a web server. Any comments or insights around "how" the use or requirement for cookies could be different from what u described please?
