I have a project where I want to pull information from an external database to Storyline.
For example: I have a database with 8 fields for each product.
First field is Company
Second field is Product
the next 7 field are details about the product.
What I want to do is be able to display the Company to the top of the slide with a list of products on the left hand side. When the user clicks on the product, the details will appear in a window on the right hand side of the slide.
I want to be able to add a product to the external database and have it available to the Storyline slide immediately
Does it have to be a database connection? Could you perhaps export an XML file, and then read that in with your course? That would be a lot easier to do.
