Yeah, it dosen't work, but we've found that using the 'down' state as a hover is good to give the user feedback. Obviously, with a touchscreen any touch is basically a click, so no cursor to trigger a hover. Down will trigger when a button is pressed, so that at least gives the reassurance that you've actually done something as a user!
Apologies for delay in getting back to you, am a bit lost and haven't looked at for a while, but I should use the " down" state instead of " hover", yes ?
Will this bring up the feedback that I had for the hover state ?
I'd use both, so there is 'Hover' for people using a mouse (i.e. desktop) and 'Down' for people using a touchscreen. That way there is clear feedback for either platform. I do that almost as a matter of course now, just duplicate my hover state and call it Down. Because Down is a built in state storyline will work out the rest.
I've attached a screenshot at my attempt. It's a trigger to show a layer when the state of the button changes to down. I assume it changes to down when the user clicks on the button on ipad/android ?

Ok great, so I have two triggers for the same activity, one 'hover', the other 'down' ?
Hi Lewis, I forgot to say I've never used the down state before, is there a tutorial that can explain how it is used please ?
Hi again Lewis !
I've attached a screenshot at my attempt. It's a trigger to show a layer when the state of the button changes to down. I assume it changes to down when the user clicks on the button on ipad/android ?
Have I understood this correctly ?
Hi just wondering if anyone can help me with this query please ?
@Lewis Brennan thank you for this tip. I was having the same struggle as Altan
