Variable into a PDF Resourse

Hello All,

I am trying to get a name variable to appear in a PDF document that the learner would download from the resource tab. I know there is a thread with scripting that would create a PDF, but I need that variable to appear on an existing document. Is this at all possible?

Any feedback would be great! :)
