Hi all. What is an average rate you are paying for a voice over artist? Do the majority charge per word or on a time basis? (Looking to hire, I'm not a VO artist).
Rates vary quite a bit. Even though voiceover talent requires a specialized skill as does editing, it has turned into a commodity. There is no majority in how much they charge or whether they charge per word or per minute. My advice is purchase the best you can afford and make sure they have experience in elearning VO and editing. PM if you would like to hear our female talent and rate. I know people have used voicebunny successfully.

Hi, Stephanie:
Here is the non-union rate page from voices.com. I would not hesitate paying more, however, for solid talent. There's a lot of amateurs out there.
Thanks so much Dan! Really appreciate it, very helpful.
My pleasure.
