Voiceover and hotspots
Sep 19, 2019
I have a voiceover with instructions and three hotspots that when clicked on reveal information about the object.
Each reveal layer has an "x" to close it and return to the base layer. The goal is to not have the voiceover play again with each click of the "x" that sends the user back to the base layer. Can someone explain what I might do to have the audio play only once - but allow a user to play the audio on demand if the learner needs to review the instruction?
Thanks
Nancy

Hi Nancy,
As I know, any audio on the main slide/timeline will not repeat/replay when a layer is closed. If the audio was paused when a layer is opened, then it will just continue playing when that layer is closed.
Can you share your story file so we can take a look? Thanks!
Hi Nancy!
Maybe this will help: I made it so that if they listened to more than 6 seconds of the audio and moved on, when they returned, the audio would be silent. I did it by setting variable I called AudioHasPlayed6Seconds. I attached a little demo.
