Whats the Platform Behind the Articulate Community and Forum?

Apr 12, 2017

Hi Guys,

I am very new here. I currently have a Wordpress based system.

However, I have been browsing the Articulate Community, and I am in love. I love the look and feel and I want to know what you used to build it, because I want something similar on my site.

Please let me know?

Thanks.

Ryan

Hi Matt,

Thank you so much. Those links are going to be very useful to me.

Its such a shame its a custom one, so I assume I would need to get a developer in to make something like that. If it was an off the shelf solution that was customised I would think about buying it. Because its very user-friendly and pretty - for a forum.

Hi Matt,

Thanks. Discourse looks good. I am going to consider it.

My initial thought was to go with bbPress and add BuddyPress as well as my site is Wordpress. I need to see some good examples of bbPress customisation. I was also looking Plush Forums. I like their feature of real time refresh of pages so you do have to reload the page. I am not sure if discourse has that or not. I think bbPress may have that through plugins. Again not sure because I haven't researched it fully.

Thanks.

I would say one thing though about this forum, whenever I am on it I quite often get the spinning mac wheel. It always happens when I am this particular forum and no other. I am using a fairly fast computer a quad core i7 MB Pro. So I assume its not my computer. Not sure what it is. It may be something else, but it feels it could be things loading on this forum or page. And its happened every time. It only lasts a few seconds so its not an issue.
