360 photo and video support
We've got a Ricoh Theta 360 degree camera which we're using to create immersive learning experiences.
I'm trying to find out if Storyline 360 has support for 360 photos but having 360 in the product name makes searching hard!

This thread is two years old. The only updates are "we're keeping an eye on it". This shouldn't take that long to evaluate if it is possible to add a feature like this or no it's not. Pretty disappointing. If someone is working on it, please tell us, if not please tell us.

Nice. How far away is implementation of 360 videos?
Hi Joanna,
I saw that announcement too. 🙂
Our team is keeping on eye on this new feature idea, and we'll keep you posted here.

Hey there, i bought a GoPro Fusion and want to use 360 Videos and Photos, too. This feature is really needed, i think.
Hi Matt,
I'd love to see what you've created and share it with the team as we continue to evaluate this functionality. I'll reach out to you directly!
Thanks for adding your votes, everyone!
It truly helps us understand your need for this feature, and we take all of this into consideration as we prioritize and plan for future enhancements.
If we add this functionality in a future update of Storyline, we promise to update this discussion. Be sure to also keep an eye on all the new things we're adding to Storyline on our What's New page!

Robert, I would be interested to see what work around you came up with. :)
I've looked at CenarioVR and Adobe Captivate, but haven't been totally impressed with the learner interface.
I'd much prefer to develop in SL360 and launch from our LMS as is most of our online training.

I've requested this before, and will add my request into this thread. Our company, Design and Measure, presently owns a high-end, high-definition 360 video camera, and is using Captivate to create interactive web objects that we are embedding in Storyline. The embedding works but is not ideal, we'd rather have the feature natively available in Storyline.

Adding my two cents - We are looking to incorporate VR/360 support (pics/video) as well. We know Cap version 19 offers this feature. This is a defining moment for our team. I'm hoping the Articulate 360 group adds this sooner rather than later. Thank you!

What gets me is there is SEVERAL free 360 video and photo viewers and players that are open source that have already built the framework to integrate it into a software application! The work is pretty much done for Articulate, they just have to validate and test it within their software coding! I used one of the open source platforms and just built my own content around it and use that within my storyline 360 courses as a web object, but it can be viewed offline since I built the viewer and can integrate it into my SCORM output file for my LMS to reference when 360 content is used. If I can figure out how to make it work without access to articulate source code, I would hope they could implement 360 photo and video support in a timely fashion.

Wow, Robert. I'd be interested to see where that goes. Could you share your findings? Please, please, please... :)
