Articulate Rise 360 Translation
Hi DIANZELIAO,
I've attached some examples of an original XLIFF file and one file that is partially translated. In the file with translated text, you'll notice the presence of target tags.
May I ask how you will do your succeeding translations if you don't use the translation service? Note that you'll still need to use translation software to translate your XLIFF files. Matecat is a great resource if you plan on doing the translations yourself!
Hi SarahLichy!
Sorry to hear you've hit this snag when translating a Rise 360 course!
Do you mind sharing a screenshot of what the error message says?
Also, please make sure you're working in the Rise course from which you originally exported your XLIFF file to avoid issues importing the translated one. The XLIFF file is content-specific, so it cannot be exported from one course, and then imported to another. You'll also want to avoid editing your course after exporting the XLIFF, otherwise, you may have difficulty importing the translation.
However, if the issue persists please connect with our team through a support case.
They'd be happy to continue troubleshooting with you!
Hi StevenBenassi ,
The error message just says "error" it doesn't tell me anything further.
Yes, I made a duplicate of the course, exported the the XLIFF file and had the box checked that said include HTML formatting, then I put file into DeepL, translated to Dutch, and took the file and tried to import translated text and I got the error. I did not edit, or change the file in any way during this process!
I've attached the English XLIFF and Dutch XLIFF and the error image!

Hello SarahLichy,
Sorry about the trouble translating your course.
I noticed that you are using DeepL as your translation service. DeepL requires XLIFF 2.1, which is not supported by Rise 360 at the moment.
Can you try using other translation services to see if the error does not occur? You can also consider using Articulate 360's built-in localization service.
Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have additional questions.
