Audio file not uploading

Hi, I am having problems uploading an m4a audio file to Articulate Rise.  I have uploaded these file formats in the past so I'm not sure why it's not recognizing the file now.

The message I'm getting is "Pease verify the file type is an audio and try again".

Thank you.

Tim

Hi there, I am also experiencing the same issues with uploading m4a audio files into Articulate Rise but will accept mp3 files which I am converting. Like other LDs,  I have SMEs providing many m4a audio files that I need to convert to upload into Rise so I can finalise my learning packages.

Can you please provide an update on when this issue will be resolved?

    With thanks

    Deanka

  • Hi everyone! I'm happy to report that we've fixed the issue with .m4a audio files not uploading to your audio-enabled blocks.

Please let us know if we can help further!

  • Hi Tim! Sorry to hear that you're encountering an error when uploading an m4a audio file. Is it happening to all your audio files or just this one?

  • Hi Hazel, this is happening for audio files only.  I have no problems uploading videos (MP4)

  • Hi there, Tim. I did some testing from my side, and we're seeing the same problem. We'll get this logged as a software bug so our Engineers can begin looking at what's causing this.

In the meantime, are you able to save the M4A file as an MP3 file, then upload it to Rise? Let us know if that works for you!

      Hi Alyssa,

Has there been a solution yet? I am still having problems uploading my mp4 audio files and cannot convert them into mp3 files at the moment.

Hi! We are having the same issue as Tim! Any idea of how long it will take for the issue to be resolved? We have a large number of m4a files that one of our SMEs recorded for a course and it will be complicated to convert them all.

  • Hi Jessica, I'm sorry to hear that converting all your m4a files to mp3 will be complicated. We don't have updates on this issue right now, but you're in the right place. We'll share it here in this discussion as soon as we have news.

  • Hi Crystal, is there something we need to do on my end? I am currently having issues although the most recent post is from 12 months ago.

Hello Spencer! Updates or bug fixes to Rise are automatic. However, you may need to do the following:

      1. Clear your browser's cache
      2. Close and relaunch your browser windows
      3. Re-upload your audio files

If you continue to encounter the same issue, please open a case with us here so that our support team can work with you directly and troubleshoot the issue.
