Button initial state not working
I have a button on a slide which I've set to 'disabled' as the initial state. I edited this state so the button is transparent. I then have a trigger to change the state of the button to 'normal' when the state of three other icons on the same slide are 'normal'.
However, when I preview the slide, the button is in it's normal state, instead of the disabled state, even though the three icons are not 'normal'.
Am I missing something?
Thank you :)
Hi Sam
Yes, I previewed the one you sent back. See attached screenshot.

Hi JenniferDickson the button is in fact "disabled" and cannot be clicked. The "disabled" state is inheriting the text from the "normal" state. This is for accessibility. The button should contain text, even though it is disabled, as users using a screen reader may want to identify the button even though it is disabled.
It looks like you are trying to completely hide the button, and so I would recommend a state of "hidden" until the items are selected.

Hi Sam, thanks for your response. I've tried the following and the button is still visible from the start:
- Changing initial state to hidden - no change
- Creating a hidden state and change it to the initial - no change
- Making the hidden state transparent (keeping it as initial) - no change
Any other ideas?

HI JenniferDickson did you actually preview the content? When "hidden", you can still see the button in author mode, but when previewing and viewing published content, it is hidden. This is to make it easier to work with in the author environment. The Storyline file I attached to my response demonstrates the "hidden" state.
