Can I add points to a quiz with "non-graded" slide?

I have slides that have check boxes for answers that I ultimately want on a results slide. I have a mix of multiple choice and multiple answer questions, but on some of my multiple answer I don't truly want it to be where they have to answer everything correct, which is the only thing I see happening if I choose a "Multiple Answer" assessment. I want to be able to assign 1 point for every answer they select that is correct. Trying to figure out how to truly have that calculated at the end. I tried adding value 1 to the Quiz1.score points, but that doesn't work by itself. I didn't see any counted points at the end when I tested it. Any ideas on how best to do this? Do I need to make a custom result slide? I ultimately need this to be scored into an LMS system.
