Can you edit Storyline within SharePoint cloud?
Our company is moving away from saving files on our drives to now saving everything into a SharePoint cloud. Is there a way to have your Storyline file saved in SharePoint where you can check out, do the work and check back in without having to download and then re-upload a new file each time?
Anyone else's companies moving to cloud only and dealing with this?

No storyline should be worked on locally

We are big SharePoint/Teams advocates and also have a company "one copy is enough" policy as part of our sustainability programme (although we do struggle with that!). PhilMayor is right. There's no cloud-based Storyline editor - you have to download it and edit it locally.
The best you can do is use the 'Check out' facility:
- Right-click the .story file
- Choose "More" > "Check out"
This tells everyone else the file is being edited and prevents others from uploading a new version until it's checked back in. When you check it back in you can add a comment to say what's been done and you can overwrite the original file (or as we do create a new version number).
It would be nice if more people understood what 'true' cloud computing is - the clue is in the label - it means computing in the cloud! ๐

Yes, it's possible to open a .story file over a network. But there's a reason Articulate emphasizes that they should be opened on a local drive.
You might not notice network latency, but it can corrupt a project. Sadly, the community has lots of examples of that happening.
So it's worth the effort to always open .story files on your local drive, even if that means uploading and downloading to/from SharePoint or wherever.
And if you're the only one working on a given project, then the download step isn't needed. Just keep working on the file on your local drive. When you're done editing, upload a copy to the backup location.
