Can you speed up the player in Articulate 360?
I don't think this has been possible before, but can a user speed up the audio on the player in 360?
Hello Everyone!
I'm happy to share that we have released Storyline 360 version 72 (Build 3.72.29654.0).
Included in this release is a new feature where you can let learners explore at their own pace by choosing a course playback speed between 0.25x and 2x.
Now all you need to do is update Storyline 360 in your Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.
Please let us know if you have any questions by reaching out to our Support Engineers directly.
Have a great day!

Also agree that this feature would be very beneficial. I frequently use it on YouTube and Wistia videos if I'm just trying to get the "gist" of something. I've also had requests from several students and instructional designers who I work with for adding this feature. Thanks!

Hi Lauren,
I don't see the new player controls in Review 360. Is this something I need to turn on/off to see?
Thanks!

I also tried to find the function in review 360, but wit no luck.
Please also comment on the plans for the development of the function in Storyline.

If you check the link Lauren shared...
Here are the player controls in Review 360!
Then its clear that this only is valid for Peek video's and projects published as video... so not for Rise or Storyline projects ( although if a video on Review360 has it, it might have the functionality when embedded in Rise, but i doubt it )
As is this offcourse is so limited that its useless. If someone publishes as video... in the end it will not be distributed on Review 360 but on Vimeo, YouTube or similar..and then that functionality is already avaialable. What users are asking for is this option inside the Storyline player!

You are so completely right Math Notermans, but apparently Articulate is not able to see that the issue is about to change from nice to have to need to have. It would be sad, if we need to find another tool for developing our courses - but it can be the result.

Just adding another voice to the need for this feature. Our compliance courses, created by a vendor in another tool, have this feature. Because of this, people know it is possible and do not understand why it is not an option in the courses I produce. This is pretty standard in videos and some more basic eLearning Authoring tools, but Articulate seems to be behind. Please consider getting this into an update for Storyline and Rise soon!

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE. This has taken too long to address. We have users who refuse to understand why every application they use has this capability except Storyline.
This is impacting businesses' and content developers' livelihoods. We have invested in this application and built and published for years. Why does Articulate not care about its users?? In the early days of Studio and Storyline the company was responsive.

I am adding my vote to this feature request as well. We develop our SCORM packages using Storyline360 and our learners would appreciate having the ability to adjust the video's playback speed. Will this feature be available any time soon?
Thank you.

Come on Articulate. Built the functionality into storyline 360, thats what needed not to stop using storyline 360
Hi Mary,
Are you referring to the .story file that Mark posted here?
Are you getting an error with the file?

Hi Leslie,
Initially I did, but I tried again and it seems to have worked. Thank you for your reply!

Hi Mary,
I think in order to control audio there needs to be a little change in the video code I posted. If I get a change today I'll do a little testing to see if this code is transferable to audio control.
Awesome! Thanks for the update, Mary.

Leslie,
Does Mark's file work for you? When I press the plus or minus buttons, the audio does not respond.
I note that when I went to publish his file, it was set to publish to LMS with SCORM.1.2 output. Not sure if that makes any difference. I am publishing to Review 360.

I'll check it. It worked for me before I posted. I know that it won't work if you try to preview it in Storyline, because previews don't interpret JavaScript code. if you publish to SCORM, then open up the course by clicking on the story.html file, or publish to Review 360, it should work.
