Cannot Import New Audio File
I'm working on a Storyline project with audio. I am trying to import different files but the program keeps defaulting to the original file I imported no matter what I do. The original file I used was an mp3 but I changed my mind and want to use the wav version so I deleted the mp3 and imported the wav. The problem is that it keeps importing the original file. I've tried to close and reopen the project, move the wav file out of the directory with the mp3 file, and also try to import a wav file with a different name. It always imports my original file. If you look at my screen shot you will see the file that I select and import and then the file that actually gets imported. They are different files. It's driving me nuts. Does anyone know why this is happening?
Hello Maria,
Sorry to hear that you ran into this snag. I did a quick test on my end by swapping audio files with each other, and this worked without any issues for me.
I'd like to ask a few questions to help clarify your experience:
- Are you working locally when making changes to your project file?
- Have you tried replacing your audio files using the 'Replace Audio' feature shown here (available when you right-click on the audio file)?
- If you're already working locally, try repairing your Storyline 360 installation. Does this help change the behavior?
If the issue persists, please open a case with our support team here so we can take a closer look at what's happening. Let us know how it goes!

I'm having the same issues. I tried replacing an audio file (.mp3 format) and it didn't take.
I removed the audio, and tried importing new audio, and again it didn't take. I tried rolling back to the November 2023 release, but that didn't work either. What's going on?
Hi Benjamin!
Sorry to hear you've also run into this setback!
I noticed that you've opened a support case as well. Smart move! It looks like my colleague Dexter is handling your case and replied to your e-mail with insight into this behavior.
If you have any follow-up questions, feel free to reply to Dexter through your case!

@Benjamin, weird, huh. It's only happening on this one slide for me. I ended up deleting it and rebuilding the slide in question.
