Closed captions not showing in RISE
Hi,
I've added the .vtt file to a video in RISE but the closed captions aren't showing when I select to turn them on. I've tried switching on in edit and preview mode, both neither work. Any ideas?

Hi, StevenBenassi,
I checked the VTT file and it does contain "WEBVTT" in the header. I also tried enabling the subtitles through the CC menu, but it doesn't activate, it always stays off.
I sent you the VTT file in a private message. I saved it as a .txt file, though =).Thank you!
Hello papsantos,
Sorry to hear about the trouble activating the subtitles.
I appreciate you sharing the caption file in a support case. I see that you’re already working with my colleague Christian, and you’re in good hands.
We’ll continue the conversation in your support case, but I’m happy to assist further as needed.

Hello everyone!🙂
I'm experiencing the same issue. I've added the VTT file, but the subtitles are not showing up. I'm currently testing it only in edit mode on Articulate Rise. Any ideas?Hi papsantos!
Sorry to hear you're also having trouble with Closed Captions in Rise 360!
In Rise, the captions do not display automatically and must be enabled by the user. Can you confirm that you've clicked the 'CC' button on the media player? As well as selected the chosen language from the menu that appears?
Also, all .VTT files must have WEBVTT listed as a header within the file.
Opening your .VTT file with a simple text editor will allow you to check and confirm.
However, if you're still having trouble after those steps it would be helpful to see a copy of the .VTT file you're working with. Do you mind sharing that here in the discussion or privately through a support case?
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Any updates on closed captions (CC)? I've added .VTT files in Rise, and they appear correctly in edit mode. However, when I publish the module, the CC option doesn't show up. Any ideas on what might be causing this?
Hello prachikapadia,
Happy to help!
Interestingly, your closed captions work in edit mode but not when your course is published. Have you tried testing your course in SCORM Cloud or Review 360 to isolate if the behavior is specific to where you are hosting your published courses? You'll also want to ensure your *.VTT files are in the proper format, though I suspect they already are since they display correctly in preview mode. If you can replicate the behavior in SCORM Cloud or Review 360, please open a case with our support team here so we can request a copy of your course for testing. We'll delete it after our investigation!
