Course minimizes when opening/clicking a link.
Greetings everyone,
I have a problem that has recently started in Chrome browser when trying to open a link from within a course. When clicking a link, for some reason the course now minimizes when a new browser window opens to display the contents of the clicked link.
The funny part of it is, when I publish my course to Review the links work fine and the course doesn't auto minimize, it happens after the course has been upload to our LMS.
I Scorm 1.2 with HTML with flash fallback. All of my links within the course are set to "open in new browser window".
I created a course back in January that worked fine in Chrome then, but now has this issue. I'm assuming Chrome did an update to their browser that is now causing this issue. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Does anyone at Articulate have a solution?
Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

I haven't noticed a similar snag on my end using Chrome so I wonder if there is a setting to change in the LMS.
If you can share your file with us, that would be helpful too! Either way, we'll be here to continue troubleshooting.

Cornerstone would be the LMS we use.
Thanks Glenn! I've looked around in the community for similar issues in Cornerstone and I only see an issue with the course minimizing between slides. Here's the thread.

We are experiencing this issue in our Virginia Learning Center which is based on Meridian. Was there a resolution for Glenn?

It doesn't look like Glenn opened a support case for this issue with our engineers, but I'm happy to help!
My first recommendation would be what Lauren also suggested above: ruling out LMS issues by testing your course with SCORM Cloud.
If you're still experiencing the same behavior in SCORM Cloud or need help testing, the next step would be to open a support case through this link.

Is there a resolution for the support case submitted by Alison? I am experiencing the same issue with course minimizing in Chrome and Edge in Workday LMS.

I'm not seeing a resolution in Alison's case, so I'd recommend connecting with a Support Engineer!

The support engineer had me restore the course down to half screen size so we could click on the link and it opened on the other half and we could see that the course itself wasn't minimizing. Maybe it's just behavior of Chrome itself? The issue kind of went away.
