Creating Hotspots/triggers on a Vyond Video

I have been having major issues around a video I imported from vyond.  I've done this before, but now I can't seem to get a hotpot on any part of the video.  I open the video, forward the slider to where I want the hotspot, but as soon as I click the shape (circle, rectangle or free-form) the video closes.  How do I get a hotspot on this video?  It must be a setting I can change since I've done this in the past.  What could I be doing incorrctly?
