Disabling zoom on image click in Timeline: Rise 360
Can we disable zoom-on-image in the Timeline block yet in Rise? The answers I see are from several years ago, and seems very strange that this feature cannot be turned off now.
Thanks!
Hello everyone, 🎉
I'm happy to let you know we released a new update for Rise 360. This update lets you turn off image zooming on Timeline and Labeled Graphic blocks. There's nothing to install for web apps. New features and fixes are immediately available, though you might need to export your Rise 360 course again.
Let me know if you have any questions about this update or the new enhancement!

Would it be easier to set the default of the zoom function to off for all images? It is very frustrating when trying to make accessible content.

100% agree with this suggestion. Default zoom feature to 'off' is so sensible.

While this isn't native to Articulate, you can achieve this with a click of a button using Mighty. Feel free to check it out and message me if you want to learn more.

A great opportunity to start learning CSS, I've documented the fix here:

I'd also like to vote for this feature. It isn't screen reader-friendly and is also confusing to users to have images with null tags that read the option to zoom. For the user, it implies that the images is meaningful and for my courses most images are purely decorative. I'm finding that my courses aren't passing federal reviews because of the zoom default.

This is great news. Thank you for updating the thread here. Clearly a highly desired feature, so thank you for listening to the feedback from your users.

Thank you for this update. Is there any plan to also allow the disabling of zoom on images that are inserted via the Create Quiz option? I can't find this option in any setting, or being discussed here in the Community. Thanks!

Thanks for reaching out, Darla. We'll add you to the list we are tracking for this feature of disabling zoom in the Timeline block. We don't have an ETA yet on, but I will make sure to update this discussion if we make any changes that will help.
This thread continues to attract comments almost two years on. Is there another way to highlight simple changes like this and get them into testing and production?
Hi David!
Thanks for checking in on this!
