File Types
I see that Rise has a maximum side of 5GB for audio and video files. I also see videos are best in 16:9 aspect ratio. I'm seeking information in a couple areas:
1. Please list all of the file types that can be used in Rise for Audio, Video, and Images.
2. Embed: Is it possible to embed image on any screen other than "embed" selection in blocks?
Thank you!

Hi Julie! Sounds like you've been brushing up on our best practices for using media in Rise.
- We don't limit you to a list of supported file types in Rise. We expect virtually every format of those media types to be supported. If you run into an issue with a particular file, let us know, and we'll give you some help.
- Most, but not all lessons or block types will support adding images. You'll see this option when you can add media to a section of your lesson:
Is there a specific block type or lesson that you have in mind where you'd like to add your image? Maybe we can brainstorm about some best options for your course!

.mov files don't import; files that are too large 400mb+ tend to fail on import also.

.tif is not recognized by Rise as an image file !?
Hey Andrea! Mind if we have a look at your .tif file? We'd be happy to test it on our end.
You can send it along right here! We'll delete it when we're done testing.

Hello,
I used Snagit to take a picture of one of our images from a PPT. I have tried to save it to every file type. I get the error message "Please verify the file type is an image and try again."
Hi there, Sonia. I'm sorry that's giving you trouble! We can test the file on our end. Alternatively, if it's an image or a shape in PowerPoint, you may have the option to right-click and Save as an image file right from PowerPoint.

In my current role, trying to upload jpg files to rise courses, I get the message "Please verify the file type is an image and try again." Please clarify. Thank you.
Hi, Matt. I was able to upload a jpg file using Google Chrome as my browser. Let's see what's happening on your end! With your permission, we can have a closer look at your course and files. Use this link to share an example jpg that is giving you trouble.

Thank you for looking into this, Crystal. Developing in Chrome resolved the issue. Now, I can upload all images I want! Could be an IE thing. Thank you again.
Smart idea to use Chrome, Matt! Internet Explorer is not a supported browser for authoring, but you're welcome to use it for viewing Rise 360 courses.

Hi Giovanni!
Thanks for reaching out. I was able to successfully upload the .jpg file to Rise 360 without any issues. Try logging out of Rise 360, then go back into the course and try the upload again.
