Global changing of how a slide is revisited is not working

I have search to see if anyone else has posted this issue but do not see any.

Use to be that if I selected a group of slides in Story View, I could go to "Properties for multiple slides" and globally change the revisiting action from "Automatically decide" to "Resume saved state" or "Reset to initial state." However, now when I click on the pull-down menu to make this selection, the pull-down menu does not work. I also have this same issue if I click on the pull-down for how the slide advances. I have to go into each slide individually and make the changes.

I can make global changes to the selections for the buttons and player functions.

Thanks for any guidance the group can give.

  • That sounds frustrating.  However, I am not able to replicate the issue. It works as expected for me.  Have you tried restarting SL?  What update are you running?

  • It seems to be working now. I was using V3.85.31840.0. I uninstalled it and tried again, with no change. Uninstalled and went back to an earlier version and it worked. Uninstalled that version and installed V3.85.31840.0 again and for now it is also working. Must be holding my mouth wrong.

    Thanks for the quick response.

  • Jose,

I am working locally. Hopefully someday this will stop being an issue and we can work from the cloud. Like I report in an earlier post, I was using V3.85.31840.0. I uninstalled it and tried again, with no change. Uninstalled and went back to an earlier version and it worked. Uninstalled that version and installed V3.85.31840.0 again and for now it is now working again, but for how long? Something is unstable that causes me to have to do these reloads of the program. Fortunately that is pretty quick to do.

Thanks for the update, Barry. Feel free to reach out to our support team in case you run into the issue again. We have other ways of troubleshooting the behavior, such as checking your system logs, and we might find a clue that there could hopefully resolve the issue permanently.
