HELP! I need some Storyline audio advise!
I am working on a Windows 10 machine. I am building a Storyline 360 project that involves recorded audio on each slide. I am recording the audio from the same Rode microphone, and in the same recording studio each time. The recordings take place in the same sitting meaning my setup IS NOT changing from one recording to the next. I am recording via the INSERT --> AUDIO --> RECORD MIC functions within the Articulate application.
My Issue:
The recorded audio on the project slides is not consistant. The sound level changes from one slide to the next with no alterations taking place with the recording equipment or environment. Please see attached images. The recorded sound waves on the good audio differ from the recorded sound waves on the bad audio.
When I select the audio in the timeline, and access the audio tools, the Compression option is set to Automatic, and is grayed out, so I am unable to troubleshoot the compression aspect.
Any input would be appreciated!

I don't have an answer as to why the level is so different from slide to slide but there may be a simple solution within StoryLine to fix the issue. Go to the Publish window and select the "Quality" selection in the Peoperties section of that screen. Under "Audio Quality" there is a checkbox for "Optimize audio volume". Select that checkbox and do a publish to see if the final published audio sounds consistent. I believe that checkbox normalizes the volume of all audio in the course meaning it makes all audio the same volume.

Michael - Thanks for your suggestion. I gave it a try but it did not affect present recordings. I will see if the setting affects future recordings.
