HELP! Importing an updated XLIFF

I have a English version of a course and had it translated. Successfully imported the text to the French version. 
Now, modifications were needed in the French course, so I sent that XLIFF to the translation team. 
They sent it back, I import to the French course, Rise says that the import was successful, however I do not see the modifications. 
I cleared my cache and still the modifications do not appear. 
How can I import a modified French text XLIFF to an existing French course?
