How to edit a Storyline file with new laptop? Only have SCORM compressed zip file saved.

I am the original owner of a storyline project but I now have a new laptop since making the training. The old training is saved in my files as a SCORM compressed zip file. The Storyline file does not appear in the "browse for more..." option or the "recent" option on Storyline.

Is there a way to continue to open this file in StoryLine360?

No. You cannot open a SCORM file to edit a Storyline story. You must have the *.story file in order to make changes to or edit the file.

  • As JHauglie said, you must have the .story file to edit a Storyline project.

If you previously published the project to Review 360 and backed up the file at that time, you could download the copy from there.

Otherwise, if you can't get a copy of the .story file, you'll have to start over.

FYI: You can pull the pics and any other media from the SCORM package, if needed.
