How to extract email id of an user from LMS?

Neither SCORM nor AICC have a data element dedicated to email address (AICC because it was conceived before email was widely used; SCORM because it was built off of AICC).
Both communication protocols do retrieve the student's ID as well as the student's full name, but that is the extent of it.
