Inconsistent line spacing in Rise table
So I have tried copying and pasting directly and as plain text, changing the spacing in a word document, and retyping. All the cells are consistent except this last one, and I have no idea how to fix it. I have attached the image. Any thoughts?
Here's a quick way to fix your inconsistent line heights in Rise. The issue as seen in the video, this results from the text in a table not being wrapped in a paragraph tag, so it doesn't inherit the same line height as other text that IS properly wrapped in a paragraph tag.
Hi there! Thanks for sharing your screenshot. Sorry to hear you're getting spacing inconsistencies in Rise when copying/pasting from Word. I would suggest pasting the text in notepad to remove the Word formatting before you paste your text to Rise. You may need to do this for all the text in your table.
this problem happens pervasively. to copy and paste into notepad, then again into Rise is a horrible waste of time. seems Rise is quite archaic, decades behind, in some very important ways. It's not the time saver i thought. simple things, like copying and pasting, taking FOREVER.
Also wanted to add in that bulleted lists use a different line hieght than paragraph text... maybe this is intentional but in my tables it adds to the inconsistencies since I use bulleted lists next to paragraph text in some tables.
I have copied and pasted from Outlook to Notepad before coming into Rise and I'm still seeing different line spacing for the descriptions. Is there anything else I can do to make this look better?

I tried it from my end and I wasn't able to replicate the issue. Here's a screenshot of the table in edit mode and during course preview.
Are you seeing the issue during edit mode or when viewing the published output? Is that a cutom font you are using? Can you also tell me what browser (and it's version) you are using to author your Rise course?

It replicates in edit, preview, and Articulate Review. I haven't published it to my LMS yet. No, I'm using the recommended font "Be Vietnam".

Hi Emily! Are you using a particular theme? Have you tried using a different supported browser to see if the behavior will be different?

I was able to replicate the issue when copying the contents of the course from the output you shared. The issue appears to be specific only when copying and pasting text from an external source.
A possible workaround at the moment would be to encode the text manually in your Rise course. Here's a copy of the course you shared that I recreated:

We're currently tracking requests for the ability to control or adjust line spacing in within (all) text blocks in Rise. This feature should allow you to change the line/paragraph spacing of pasted text from an external source. I'll add you to the list so that you'll get notified of any updates.
We frequently have the same issue, and copying/pasting to other programs such as notepad and text cleaners doesn't fix it. Even the "clear formatting" button which suggests it fixes formatting issues doesn't do anything. Please fix this bug ASAP, it's horrible for content development.
Please provide a solution for this issue. Having to do what Phil demonstrates in the youTube video is aggravating.
