Multiple choice where EITHER answer is correct
Hi there!
Wondering what our options might be for the below scenario:
- Two types of positions take the Rise 360 course.
- At the end, there is an attestation like so:
I am a position #1 and I attest that I've received all of the training from Position #2
I am a Position #2 and I attest that I have received all of this training and have delivered it to my Position #1s.
- Then, click a button to submit and exit the course.
We would like learners to choose the appropriate one, and then submit their attestation.
Ultimately what we are trying to have is a multiple-choice quiz question where EITHER answer is correct and will mark a learner as passed and complete.
We've tried a multiple-choice question (works to track the different responses, as the "correct" option scores 100, and the incorrect scores 0). But requires an explanation to learners that only their attestation counts for completion, not their score so to not be alarmed if it shows them they got 0%. LMS tracks quiz completion.
And we've tried a checklist, and a submit button to attest and exit the course. The only problem is that the checkboxes don't actually mean anything then. Learners could leave it blank and just click submit. There is no tracking on who checked/left unchecked. LMS tracks 100% of slides viewed.
I've built it as a question in Storyline and embedded it in the Rise course and it seems to work okay.. Am I missing something? Is this possible?
You could have the attestations in a Storyline block that requires the user to click the appropriate checkbox in order to complete the block.

Hi Judy!
Thanks for taking the time to reply. This looks similar to what I've ended up doing - I created a one question quiz in storyline, changed the feedback to be "positive", so it doesn't look like one of the answers is incorrect. Then I've used the Storyline block in our Rise course.
I guess my ideal state would be able to do this right in our Rise course by scoring our answer options or something like that, and even better if LMS could track which option people chose!
Thanks,
Kerri-Lynn
