NEW IN RISE 360: Scenario Block
Today we released the scenario block for Rise 360, and we think you’re going to love it.
Now you can easily add branching scenarios featuring Content Library 360 characters to Rise 360 projects. Just drop dialogue, responses, and feedback into a scenario block to walk learners through choices and their consequences. And because it’s Rise 360, your scenario will look stunning on any device.

Which is the best tool, in your opinions for designing the branches and making sure that all the options work as planned?

Is this content accessible for screen readers?

I'm also concerned about how scenarios would be perceived by users who are low/no vision or who are not using a mouse.
Hi there, Zoe. We're working on full screen reader support for learners who have vision challenges. We'll let you know when that's ready.
Here's some detail on how keyboard navigation works with different block types, including the scenario. Let me know if you have other questions!

Would like to add company characters. Will this be added later?

That is a must for us as Australian Drs and Nurses don't wear the colours on the models in the library :)

I was really excited about the Rise 360 scenario block but now it seems that you are unable to use your own characters.. The characters and expressions available are really naft (sorry!) and the variety of clothing/ages/expressions is very limited.
Have I missed something - Is there an option to use your own charter?

You can only use the characters in the content library.

Love this!

I feel it's quite limited out the gate - our application would be more thing-focused - like for example you come in and the CT scanner has this error and then some problem-solving scenarios. Or using people but it's a patient interaction addressing smoking cessation.

As with all things Rise, this is an excellent starting point. I am sure Articulate will take into consideration feedback and will add options in the future. I would like to see the ability to add audio, custom images, and custom characters. I am in the K-12 world, not the corporate world, so some kid-friendly characters would be nice. Even leveraging the illustrated characters would be a good way to create scenarios because you could leverage some illustrated backdrops that would fit.

I'd also love to see the ability to add audio and customize the images more. I've made custom simulations with Captivate/Storyline in the past and the audio part makes a huge difference.
Being able to do it in Rise would shorten the production time by a lot - and the animations are automated rather than manual.

I agree, Anthony Goss, add-ons will grow as feature requests are listed. Nonetheless, while Articulate was taking its time, we explored this with H5P which, not only lets you add your own characters but even videos for dilemmas. So far, so very good with this option. UX and UI are intuitive and ample documentation online. H5P also provides a friendly diagram to make the branching visually easier to build. I don't work for H5P, nor do I benefit from this note - just helping others who were in my situation as well. The videos add a lot to the branching scenarios - they also integrate will all major LMS platforms. Just an idea.

I like H5P for the most part. However, my experience with development is that the interface is a bit clunky. Also, I would like to use H5P inside of Rise for some additional interaction, but I can't get it to play well with mobile. Nina - if you have any recommendations for this use case, please let me know. I would be happy to hear about this.
