Popups launched via 360 degree image crashing
LaurenConnellyPlease clarify what you mean by "importing the file into a new project." My project is over 2 gigs and it's fairly involved so it's not something that can be "imported" easily.
Hi CurtisKrone,
Happy to jump in!
Here's how to import your slides into a new Storyline project:
- Open a new Storyline project, then go to the File tab on the ribbon, scroll to Import, and click Storyline
- Browse to the Storyline file you want to import and click Open
- Storyline will display thumbnail images for all slides in the project file, divided into scenes. Select the slides you want to import
- By default, all slides will be imported unless you choose otherwise. You can tell which slides are selected by their blue outline
- Use the Insert into scene drop-down list at the bottom of the window to choose where the imported slides should appear in your course
- The default option, Same as imported project, creates a new scene for each scene you import and names each scene with the same name it has in the original project
- Click Import to complete the process
Please let us know if that does the trick or if you need help attaching your file!

Thanks for the info. I reinstalled the latest version and did an import. Unfortunately, nothing changed and it still crashed after a few selections.
I then reinstalled the July 30th version and it doesn't crash. However, it doesn't return to the marker locations and goes to a random spot instead...but I'll take that over it crashing.- EricSantos2 months agoStaff
Hello Curtis,
I'm happy to chime in! I appreciate you for the detailed troubleshooting you've already done. We haven't received any similar report regarding 360°images and its markers.
I created the attached Storyline 360 file with a 360°image and four markers to test this out. Fortunately, I did not experience crashing behavior after clicking all markers using the latest Storyline version, Update 93. If you have time, kindly download a copy of my sample file and see if I created a good project for reproduction and whether you encounter a crash.
Do you experience this issue when testing the published output? If so, do you publish to Web, LMS, or Review 360? I published my project to Review 360, and everything seems normal.
The behavior you're seeing may be file-specific. Would you be willing to share your Storyline file with us so we can investigate this problem further? You may also share it privately by sending it along in a support case. We'll delete it when we're done testing.

Hi Eric, the sample file you sent works fine on my end as well. However, this was a relatively basic example. My problematic file has video and links to other slides which may be causing the problem. I'll submit a portion of the course to the support case and maybe you'll experience the issue as well.
