Retain and Display a Best Score Upon Quiz Revisit

Hello.

I can’t seem to come up with the right combinations of variables to accomplish a piece of functionality. Since our LMS does not provide the learner access to their current score for a completed Storyline quiz, I display their last score upon revisit to the exam per a conditional layer on the opening slide. The quiz always resumes. Since advancing from here resets the quiz, this last score is not necessarily a reflection of the best score captured by the LMS. I’d like to retain a running best score. I cannot leverage the standard quiz results variables as these are reset, except to use for comparison as a trigger to increase the best score with each new quiz completion, if applicable. Any thoughts or ideas on how to create and retain the best score outside of the quiz results or by using additional quiz results variables? Thank you.
