Rise and "exit course" button
Hello,
Is there an 'exit course" button in Rise? Once in the LMS, it seems there isn't a way for students to exit the program.

If your Storyline block contains an exit course trigger, that trigger will cause the entire Rise 360 course to close, and the learner will return to the LMS.
Is that what you had in mind?

If the EXIT button is turned on and learners do not press it but instead close the launched course page, should the course recall their progress? What about when launching on mobile device?
Hello, Thalia. Yes, if learners have met the requirements to complete the course, that information will have been sent to the LMS before they close the window or click the Exit button. If they haven't complete the course, they'll resume at the beginning of the lesson where they closed the course.
Thanks Crystal. Any idea how the attached could happen? The learners are forced to follow the course linearly with no option to skip to the assessment and yet this screenshot shows the first half of the lessons aren't completed?
Hi Thalia, I am here to help. Were the learners who experienced the issue using a mobile device? Is this happening to all of your learners? Are you able to recreate the issue on your side?

Yes they were on mobile device. No we've not been able to replicate: it is happening to about 0.5% of our learners. However, affecting any learners is one too many!

Could you make an EXIT course button that runs in RISE without publishing it to a LMS. My clients just want to run it from RISE and NEED an EXIT button with each lesson. I have created a BUTTON, and set it to EXIT course but it says LMS ONLY. So the EXIT button doesn't work in RISE. It's frustrating.
I can't even SET the button to RESET the course back to the homepage, which would be a better SECOND option to exiting. The Best I CAN do is set it to start at LESSON ONE. That would be the highest up you can go and closest to resetting to the home page. But it doesn't make sense and will confuse the learners.
My failed efforts to create a functioning EXIT button is not making the SIM work very well.
And I agree with the comment above - it would be nice if you didn't use a light gray for text, darken it a little. Being inclusive means take into account that grey text excludes users from seeing the editing function buttons.

I think I figured out a way - I created an extra lesson and named it Goodbye - and it just says thank you for participating in this course - Good-bye
So anyone with this problem can try that. You can't add an EXIT and actually have it close it, or even do anything with the scoring as that's part of it, but without that you can at least create a pretend EXIT.

I've enabled the EXIT COURSE, yet after going through the course, I cannot click it. It's all grayed out. When I click X on window, and I check or LMS, this pops up - "Cannot properly save the result due to network issues." But my connection is stable. Is there any minimum requirement for MBPS?
I tried the ones above - adding a lesson, adding a block for the button etc. but it still does not work. I still couldn't click the EXIT COURSE button.Hi Uzziel, have you tried testing your course in SCORM Cloud to see if you get the same issues when exiting your course? If the issue only happens when your course is hosted in your LMS, I recommend reaching out to your LMS admins so they can help you with your LMS issue.
Hello, Is there a way to specify where the exit button will redirect people to?
In the LMS using the exit button redirects the learner at the root of the LMS instead of the actual course's homepage. Is this a Rise or LMS Setting?

I am also experiencing problems with the exit button, my Rise course sits on Moodle and even after enabling the exit button and creating an interactive button to exit course...its non responsive when clicked. Please help!

Has there been any development around editing the "exit course" button and screen post-quiz? Still frustrating not to be able to customize that.

It is possible to edit the text of the "exit course" button.
Not sure what you mean by "screen post-quiz".
