Rise not saving progress

We've now tested in SCORM cloud and the course works fine and as it should, so would this suggest that the issue lies with our custom built LMS rather than the course itself?
Yes. This will at least give you some proof that the content works on an LMS that is SCORM compliant. Enough information to take to you LMS providers or the Dev team responsible for developing the custom build LMS.
