I am creating a series of videos after which the client wants the viewer to make choices by checking boxes in a matrix (see enclosed image). Are there templates available or some very simple way of creating this...? I am on a tight deadline and don't know how to do this. The course is made in Rise but I suppose I have to embed Storyline blocks?
Hi Kompetenslaget, I'm not aware of any templates, but it would not be too complex to build in Storyline. However, I should want that when you embed the file in Storyline, I do not think the data will be persisted between session. For example, if the user makes selections, exits and then comes back to the file, it will not retain their selections.
You would need to create a checkbox for every cell in the grid. For each video, show just its checkboxes. Then for the action that jumps to the next slide, put triggers for each checkbox. If it is selected, change a corresponding text variable from blank to “X” BEFORE the jump.
On the last page, put references to all the variables in the appropriate spots.
I think you’re right; you’ll have to do this in SL.
