SL3 Random Number Variable option missing?

Hello,

According to tutorials I've followed, I should be able to add a number variable and be able to define a range of number values. There is supposed to be a dropdown option, but I don't see this option.

 

The tutorial is SL360, and I'm using SL3.  Is that the reason perhaps?
