The same thing is happening to me, so I'll answer Alyssa's questions too.
- Yes, I inserted using the Slide Numbers feature
- Yes, I do have Modern Text enabled
- Changed fonts - some are more obvious, but none are great.
I created a brand new project and inserted the slide title multiple times, so I imagine you can reproduce this by doing the same thing.
