Story 360 latest version automatically changes the date modified timestamp of source file

Story 360 latest version 3.73.30119.0 automatically changes the date modified timestamp of the source file when open and closed even if I did not modify the file.

    Hello Everyone!

    I have some great news to share! We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 74, we’ve included important fixes and some new features!

    This update fixes the bug where Closing a file without saving in Storyline Update 73 updates the Date Modified property.

    To take advantage of this update, launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You can find our step-by-step instructions here!

    I realize that I am out of luck, but for the record the FINAL version of SL3 also does this. I'll try to roll back to the next-to last version, and will thank my lucky stars that I always open copies.

    Hi Michael, 

    Can I ask if you already have the latest available version of Storyline 360 installed?  Enhanced recovery capabilities were introduced in the February 21, 2023 update (Build 3.73.29831.0), but were rolled back in the March 21, 2023 released (Build 3.73.30119.0). See this link for more details: 

    You'll want to make sure that you're on the latest update which has the feature that automatically saves the project file disabled.

      Hi Michael,

      Thanks for the additional information. I just wanted to update you that we've identified a bug in Updating 73 where closing a file without saving updates the Date Modified property.

      I've added this community thread to the bug report so we can notify you as soon as a fix is released. We apologize for any inconvenience this bug may have caused.
