storyline: seekbar on video slides not working when published.
I have a seekbar on all slides and all work except the slides with video. Seekbar does not seek, but rather just moves the line along and starts at the beginning of the video no matter where you move the bar. This happens for 1st entry of slide and for revisit. When the timeline ends, the video ends also, no matter where it is in the video. Other slides have audio only and seekbar works fine.
My player defaults are for seekbar to work. I have published it with the player default for video slides and I have published with custom for just those slides with seekbar enabled (but player defaults still have seekbar).
The most frustrating thing is that it works fine when I preview, but then doesn't work when published. I am publishing to Articulate on-line.
I feel that I need to put in a support ticket, but I am not sure how this is done either. Can anyone help me with this also?

I am having this same issue. It is working fine in preview but once published to review the video replays from the start and the storyline object continue to come in as per timelines. Any advice on how to rectify this?
Hello Kerri,
Happy to look into this for you!
I tried testing the behavior using a basic slide with a video and using the seekbar to jump to certain points in the video and I can confirm that this worked as intended for me. Here's the link that I used for testing so you can see if you get the same results.
Since the behavior appears to be specific to your project file and the bug discussed in this thread has already been fixed, would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case so we can take a closer look at what's happening? We'll delete it when we're done testing!

I have opened a support case. Thanks.

Has this been resolved? Same issue for me, but not with all videos and not consistently. I have 6 videos in 12 scenes. They are set to replay, pause, allow the user to rewind/go forward when they revisit a video. The player is set to allow drag on the seekbar after completion. Are there triggers I can set up to ensure this happens? My deadline is looming! Here is my review file: https://360.articulate.com/review/content/4a3560f5-d051-41dd-9a01-eb4771c2e16c/review
Yesterday, I published and the 3rd and 5th videos would not allow drag after completion; refreshed the link, then it was just the 5th video.
Thanks for any insights/ideas!
Hi Ashleigh!
Sorry to hear you ran into this behavior!
I see that Kerri has been helping you out, but I just wanted to pop in and share that the original issue reported in this discussion was corrected in Build 3.24.17733.0, as Alyssa shared here.
Testing the Review 360 link you shared, I too was unable to drag the seek bar after the video was completed. It would be helpful to take a closer look at the file itself to investigate this behavior further. Would you be willing to share a copy here in the discussion or privately through a support case? We'll delete it from our system as soon as we finish troubleshooting!

When we tested in scorm cloud the video and audios are working as expected. The issue for us appears to be with publishing to articulate review.

Ah! So we won't know until we test with a SCORM file? Thx for the reply!
Hi Ashleigh!
Thanks for following up and sharing the feedback after testing the SCORM file!
Smart move on opening a support case. You're in great hands working with our support engineers and they should be getting in touch with you shortly!
In the meantime, if you'd like the community to review your project file, we would need the actual .story file to do so. It looks like you've attached the SCORM/zip package.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

there is a problem, if the user clicks direct on the video -> video + timeline is out of sync
- user click pause/play in navi bar -> timeline + video stops (ok)
- user click on video -> video starts / timeline not !!!
- now wait some seconds and click play on navi bar -> timeline plays + video play BUT out of sync
result: video is ready -> jump to the next slide, but timeline is not ready (seekbar not clickable)

the easiest way to fix the problem is to put a rectangle with 99% transparency over the video -> click on video will have no effect anymore

I attached two videos in regards to what I thought was a bug. I was able to reproduce this behavior where the seekbar retains a "read-only" state even though the "allow drag after completion" option was selected in the player settings. The slide advances to the next slide when the video is complete. The video was continually playing with no interruptions. A rectangle with a 99% transparency was also drawn over the video. I replayed the same slides over and over
to find out that the seekbar behavior alternates between a "read-only and "allow drag after completion" states in an unpredictable and unreliable manner. The only time the seekbar would work as expected was when the slide was set to advance when the timeline ends on this slide.
It appeared to me that the video completes before the timeline ends although they share the same time duration. To check it out, I set the slide to resume saved state. Upon revisiting the slide, It was clear enough that the video would complete before the timeline ends on this slide. Upon revisiting the slide, I could clearly tell that the timeline is still stuck at the end, hence a "read-only" state. I don't know if this is a bug or something that would normally happen due to the difference in frame rates? Hi Nedim,
Thanks so much for sharing what you are experiencing and sending along videos. Super helpful! Would it be possible to get a closer look at your .story file when you have the chance? Feel free to upload to this thread or privately in a support case.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Sure. See the attached .story file. I was only trying to reproduce what Ashleigh reported earlier in this thread. My point was not to use "Jump to next slide when media completes" trigger in this scenario as it appears that the video will most likely end sooner causing the player timeline being stuck or not complete ("read-only") upon revisiting the slide even though both the video and the timeline have the same time duration. Again, this behavior is inconsistent and unpredictable where the same slide would sometimes work just fine while the next video slide would produce this issue and vice versa.
Hi Nedim!
Happy to jump in here!
Thank you for sharing the sample file. After testing it on my end (Storyline 360 version 3.80.31058.0 via Windows Parallels on a Mac M1) I was unable to reproduce the intermittent behavior you encountered. During preview, and after publishing the file to Review 360 I was consistently able to scrub the seek bar after returning to a slide that contained a video.
I'm curious if following the steps outlined in this article would improve the behavior for you. If the problem persists, please let us know and we'd be happy to investigate this further!

It's all good now. Thank you, Steven.
Hi Nedim!
Glad to hear it! Thanks for following up and letting us know! If you run into any trouble moving forward, we'd be happy to assist further.
Have a great start to your week!
