Survey or Short Answer Questions
Absolutely love Rise, but one feature I'm hoping is coming in the future, or better yet, I'm just not realizing is an option.
I'd love the ability to put in a box for my end users to fill out their own thoughts on a subject, a survey or short answer question. Is that something that's possible in Rise?

It's now November 2022 (3 years after above requests), is there a way to use non-graded, survey type questions that report to the LMS in Storyline 365?

One more vote for non-graded survey or essay type questions to be added to Rise.

Another vote for a non-graded fill in the blank or short answer question. Would be a great addition. I don't need to see the actual responses, but would like space for users to type and not just answer in their head.
Having the option to have the fill in the blank question non-graded is all I need!
Or the option to have the sorting activity non-graded. - MarkRash-bc5477Community Member
I would also like to vote for ability to include an ungraded question in a Rise quiz. I am working on a lesson now for which the last question of the quiz does not have a single correct answer - it is for learners to self-assess. Rise requires me to designate a correct answer.

Yes you REALLY need an ungraded survey block in Rise!!! It would make the "E" in ADDIE much easier!!!

Another vote for short and paragraph ungraded responses, and ungraded fill in the blank!

I too urgently need this feature. We have a significant number of courses that I need to transition to our LMS and I can't believe that in this day and age we can't use open ended questions? Open ended responses that are evaluated by our training mentors are key to our training process.

Sometimes I wonder if Articulate doesn't implement certain features (like this one) because they don't want to have to support it. For example, maybe they are worried that someone will start using Rise as a way to have people submit critical data. And they don't want to be put in a position where someone expects them to retrieve the data when an issue arises.

Another vote for ungraded surveys within Rise. At the very least, let us turn off the feature where learner sees feedback. If it wasn't so blaring with the giant dial and animations it might not be as distracting but it is very hard to even try to disguise a quiz question as a non-graded question. I've just created a multiple-response knowledge check so it doesn't look like only one answer is correct, where we must both ask the learner to please only select one option (no guarantee they will comply) AND explain to please ignore the score they receive at the end since this was set up as a quiz for data collection purposes. So clunky this way but no other work-arounds to keep all the data together.
