Undo Function in RISE
Any further word on recovering blocks that are accidentally deleted? I am creating my first RISE course and I'm astounded that there doesn't seem to be a way to "undo" a mistake...a function that is common to virutally EVERY program out there! Thanks...
Hello everyone, 🎉
I'm happy to let you know we released a new update for Rise 360! This update adds the following feature:
- Save and restore your work with a click via an easy-to-access version list that captures manual saves and export events.
There's nothing to install for web apps. New features and fixes are immediately available. Let me know if you have any questions about this update.

Any updates on a more robust "undo" feature?
No updates yet, Elizabeth. Thanks for checking in!

Uhhg. Any news about adding an undo feature in 2020? We are humans and we make mistakes. We need an undo/back button to recover lost work. I have not encountered any other software that does not have this feature. It's basic necessary functionality for all development tools.
Please add my name to the requested feature list.
Hi there, Heather. There are a few ways to recover accidentally deleted content:
- If you've accidentally deleted some text or a table in your block, you can use
CTRL+Z
(orCMD+Z
) to undo the action. - When you delete a lesson or a block, you'll see an Undo button for a few seconds at the bottom left of your screen.
- If you delete a course, it will move to the Deleted Courses folder where you have the option to recover it or to delete it permanently.
We have a request logged to make the Undo button more noticeable, and we'll let you know here if we make any changes!

May I add my name to the request for a proper undo function? Software like Sharepoint stores the history of what you're doing even when you've left the app, so that if someone makes a colossal mistake, you can back up and put it right. In my case, I've come back to a Rise course I built, and someone has accidentally deleted 3/4 of the course. No way of getting it back or tracking what happened

Yes I wish Undo would stay up longer. I deleted a section by accident yesterday as I had my Rise page open at the same time as a Zoom meeting.
Do not do this :)
My finger hit the wrong thing as I was in my Zoom window, and somehow a block disappeared. :(.
Can ya'll create a back button like in Office 365. OR keep undo up for like 60 seconds.
Please please please create this!!!!!

Shocked that there really isn't an "Undo". Thought I was crazy. Please add my name to the feature request as well. Thanks

Just checking to see if anyone has any tips or updates on how to recover an entire lesson. I used a template to start my first RISE course and was trying to delete the excess lessons. When you delete one the screen updates and moves your courses down so I absent-mindedly deleted a course that I had spent several hours on. Incredibly frustrating!
Hi there, Liz. If you deleted an entire course, you'll see that course in your Deleted Courses folder on the main dashboard. If it was a lesson within a course, unfortunately there's no way to recover it once the Undo prompt disappears.

Add me to the request list for this. Hard to believe the functionality doesn't already exist. Unfortunately, I just learned of its absence the hard way. :-(

I would also really like to see a permanent Undo button, am having a hard time understanding why this does not yet exist. I just accidentally deleted a line of text, and in having to navigate away from the page to find this discussion, apparently I have nullified the Ctrl+Z option.

yes i was deleting unwanted blocks and suddenly the one i wanted was gone. Not sure if it was a lag on the software but yes, an undo button is most important. Most software can undo a few layers. Thanks!
