You are right that it is not there when published and doesn't show in the review module either. So I'm good, but FYI, it is showing up in Preview Mode. See my attached image from above.
The caption slot does not appear in Preview mode, but the space where it exists does, so there is always a gap below the image. I matrying to use the image and text block to create text next to a person on a solid color. You can align an image to the top of the block area, but not the bottom. There is always a gap where the caption would go.. Is there a way to fix this? Please see attached image. Thanks.
I'm happy to chime in! Can you try reducing the bottom padding and see if it helps? I set the bottom padding to 0, making the spacing more uniform during preview.

Hi Paul,
There is no way in Rise to turn the caption off.
Any chance we can get this added to a feature list? I don't know want this random line and extra space when I use the 'image with text' option.
Hi Matt,
If a image does not have a Caption, the area and line your arrow is pointing at, will not appear in Preview Mode or when published.

Hi Matt,
I just recreated your image and text block and do not see the extra space or line. Note: both these images are taken while in Preview Mode.
I can recreate what you are seeing if I put a blank space in the caption area.
Sorry. I have figured out my mistake!
