Hi everyone! In today's update for Rise 360, we added the ability to select your marker color! 🎉 I'm really excited about this one. Just go to the labeled graphic settings, and you'll see a field for marker color.
You can also check out the release notes here. Have a great day!

Hi Brandy!
Welcome and thanks for posting your first question here in the E-Learning Heroes community.
The color of markers in the Labeled Graphic block is controlled by the course accent color. To change the accent color, pop into your settings (in the top right corner of your course), click the Customize Theme button, then select the accent color you want.
Here’s a tutorial to help you out: Customize the Theme Colors in Rise
If you’d like to see an ability to make the labeled graphic markers a unique color that’s different from the accent color, please do submit a feature request here. We love to hear feedback from our customers!
Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any additional questions.
Hi there I can see this request has been going on for two years. Is there a way that the marker outline colour could be first dark when not clicked then if its need to be white when clicked? When the markers are on a white background it is hard to see it.
Hi Shanzel! Markers include a shadow effect that contrasts with a white background:
Can you share a screenshot of what you're seeing on your end?
I wish to second this request for a way to change the marker colours at will. If you have a basically white background and add markers, the default position is white circle. when clicked on the marker changes to the accent colour, but that doesn't help the eye to see them in the first place. The other issue I have is that if you change the accent colour you change the accent colour for EVERYTHING throughout the whole course, such as the initial line divider, and any other accents in the course. I just want to be able to change the colour of markers in hotspot images.
This a much needed function.
I would like to see this feature as well. The pulsating ring isn't obvious on a white background. it would bee good to be able to adjust the opacity of the ring or have another option to make it stand out
Thank you, Sasha. We'll let you know if we make any changes!
Ditto! I'd like to see a better white on white contrast for Rise markers in guided images.
YES please add this feature to change colour of the pulsating ring/other graphic elements
If nothing else, there really just needs to be a high-contrast switch toggle. This will allow you to invert whether the buttons have white or accent color in the background and foreground positions.
Is there any update on this?
Thanks for checking in, Maria! Our team is working on a feature that will allow you to use a custom marker color in a labeled graphic, and we plan to release that enhancement soon.
Is there any update on this?
I am in real need of the colored markers:-(
Hi Aditi! We don't have any new updates regarding this issue, but we'll be sure to let you know here as soon as we have anything new to share!
Please offer alternative markers colors soon. I have run in the same issue multiple times now. Right now in the context of an office floor plan ... THNX! :-)

Hey Alyssa,
That's a great news!!! Good start of the day.
Thanks for the update.
This is good to hear! Now if we could just get a custom option for markers, or even the ability to do custom numbers and letters for markers, this would extend the functionality even further. For example, it would be nice to be able to input our own numbers instead of being limited to 10. Letters would be helpful as well. And a custom icon would help, even if there were guidelines about its format (SVG) and size.
Agree on the need for custom markers. I would like to be able to have three different colors of markers in the same image. Right now it seems all markers on the image need to be the same color even though the content inside can be different. Or am I missing something?
Hi Lona,
Yes, all markers on the image need to be the same color.
Hi Lona! This sounds like a good opportunity to use a Storyline block!
Start by creating your fully-customized labeled graphic interaction in Storyline 360 using markers. Then, embed the slide directly in your Rise 360 lesson using a Storyline block.
I hope that sparks some ideas for you!
Thanks, Alyssa. I thought of that, but I need a rapid development. I found a workable solution in the mean time, but if I have time to go back, I may try to build it in Storyline.
So... I know we can now use custom colors for markers. But that still doesn't seem to help in terms of the pulsating "white" shadow over a white background. Still makes it difficult for users to see what they have "clicked" and what they haven't "clicked." Is there any way to have the markers themselves change colors once "clicked"?
Hi Rosemary! There isn't a way to adjust the "visited" marker color right now, but thanks for sharing that feature idea!
I'd like to echo the calls for the ability to customise individual markers on a single Labelled Graphic. eg...I'd like to have a '1' with some associated 'i' markers followed by a '2' with some associated 'i' markers- the ability to make the numerals a different colour to the 'i's would help the learner see the difference between the instruction and the supplementary content, or to group different types of instruction and content together.
Also, is there an ability to have multiple markers animate in concurrently rather than it always needing to be every marker consecutively?
