In Reach 360, what actions trigger email sends to learners and can I suppress them?

I have a client who wishes to import a list of learners into Reach but does not want that import action to trigger any sort of email send from the Reach account. I do not see a way to suppress email sends from Reach but would like to do so. Also, is there a resource to check to see exactly what actions an admin or manager might do in Reach that would trigger Reach to send an email? Thank you.
