Request: Choose Navigation Restriction Setting When Publishing to Review 360

Aug 11, 2023

Many of the Articulate Rise courses I build for my faculty ultimately have restricted navigation for the students when they are uploaded to the LMS. However, for ease of the collaborative review process with faculty, I find it helpful to have open navigation in Review 360.

Setting this for collaborators requires the following clicks:

  • Theme
  • Navigation
  • Toggle off Restricted Navigation
  • Save
  • Back button
  • Review
  • Publish new version
  • Publish
  • Back to Course
  • Theme
  • Navigation
  • Toggle on Restricted Navigation
  • Save

Thirteen clicks in total. This also has room for error if I forget to go back and toggle on restricted navigation after publishing to Articulate Review.

I would love to see a navigation setting override included on the publish to Review 360 page instead of just in the Theme settings. If included, the clicks would be like this:

  • Review
  • Toggle off Restricted Navigation for Review 360
  • Publish

Three clicks in total.

This would save a ton of clicks, time, and ensure the course remains in Restricted Navigation for LMS publishing. There are probably other ways to approach this issue, but regardless, I would love to see an improvement with this part of the workflow.

Thanks for your consideration!
